THE SUNDAY BRIEF · Nº 004 · THE BIG DECISION

Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package, 992.2 generation

Porsche AG · 911 GT3 with Touring Package, 992.2. The manual is standard here. On the winged coupé it is a no-cost option.

Order a new 911 GT3 with the six-speed manual and Porsche charges you nothing for it: £0 in Britain, €0 in Germany and France. On the GT3 with Touring Package the manual comes as standard and the PDK is the free option. Either way the list price is the same, £159,700, €211,200 or €215,900.

So if three pedals are worth more, only the used market can say so. On Friday 23 October I opened the adverts for 95 used GT3s of this generation at Porsche’s own dealers, on Porsche Finder in Britain, Germany and France, one by one. The answer depends on the body. On the coupé, the manual costs more only at the cheap end. On the Touring it costs more at both ends of the market, in Britain and in Germany.

The coupé: dearer only at the bottom.

Only three of the 23 GT3 coupés for sale at UK Porsche Centres are manuals. They ask £189,900 to £201,900. The 20 PDK cars ask £172,500 to £207,950. So the cheapest manual costs £17,400 more than the cheapest PDK, yet 11 of the 20 PDKs ask more than that manual, and the dearest coupé of all is a PDK.

Germany has only two manual coupés for sale, and they point the same way. They ask €219,790 and €222,790, inside a PDK range of €199,900 to €288,890. The cheapest PDK, €19,890 under the cheaper manual, has 19,768 km; the dearest carries a Manthey kit. Ten of the 17 PDK coupés ask more than the cheaper manual.

Prices also move between screens. Porsche Centre Swindon’s 267-mile manual shows £182,850 on Porsche Finder’s search page and £191,000 on its own page, and Swindon’s PistonHeads advert for a 267-mile manual GT3 says £182,850. Perth’s manual, the cheapest by the price on its own page, showed £197,900 there early on Friday and £189,900 a few hours later. Outside the network, Romans International in Banstead has a 2,220-mile manual GT3 at £184,950.

The Touring: dearer at both ends.

In Britain, six manual Tourings ask £195,950 to £221,990 and eleven PDKs £187,000 to £209,900. The manual costs £8,950 more at the cheap end and £12,090 more at the top, about 5% and 6% of the PDK price. Every one of the 40 British cars asks more than Porsche’s £159,700 list price for a new one before options.

Germany prices the GT3 much closer to list, and the gap opens later. The cheapest manual Touring, €207,890 in Rosenheim with 600 km, sits €400 above the cheapest PDK, €207,490 in Göttingen. Then the two lines split. Five of the eight manual Tourings ask more than the dearest PDK, which stops at €229,992. The most expensive, at Hamburg Nord-West, has 15 km on the clock and asks €269,900, €58,700 over list.

France: no third pedal, and an €80,000 tax.

Porsche Finder France lists no used manual GT3 of this generation in France. The only used manual on the French site is a Touring in Monaco, 50 km and €272,900.

To me, French prices only make sense with the malus added. The GT3 emits 310 to 312 g/km of CO2, and in 2026 anything above 191 g/km pays the maximum, €80,000, at first French registration. The weight malus cannot push the total higher. A new GT3 therefore costs €295,900 before options and other registration costs. The seven used PDK cars based in France ask €274,800 to €302,900, so they are priced around a new car plus tax. One Saint-Étienne advert states that the malus is included in its price.

None for sale in France

Asking prices, not sale prices: used 992.2 GT3s on Porsche Finder, detail pages opened on 23 October 2026, reserved, sold and unlisted cars left out; France means cars based in France. All prices include VAT (deductible on some German and French cars); UK pages add that the price may include optional insurance. List: porsche.com, 23 October 2026, before options and registration. Auction: no 2026 European result found for this generation.

There is no auction price to add yet. The first test comes on 7 November, when Broad Arrow offers a 2025 manual GT3 Touring with 3,994 km at the Dolder Grand in Zurich, estimate CHF 190,000 to 220,000, before a 15% buyer’s premium plus VAT on that premium. The result will be here on 8 November.

ALLOCATED VIEW · THREE BUYERS

If you want three pedals in a coupé, don’t pay extra for them. The cheapest manual costs more than the cheapest PDK, yet more than half the PDKs on sale ask more than it does. Choose on mileage and specification, and push back on any dealer who quotes a manual premium.

If you want a Touring, this is where the manual carries a price, £8,950 at the bottom of the British market. In Germany the cheapest manual costs what a PDK costs, but most are priced like rare cars. I would not pay above €250,000 for one.

If you buy in France, buy a car that has already paid its malus. The cheapest used PDK Touring in France asks €21,100 less than a new GT3 plus tax. A used manual means looking beyond France.

My price: a manual GT3 coupé becomes compelling to me at PDK money, below £190,000 in Britain. Three UK manual GT3 adverts sit under that today: Porsche Centre Perth at £189,900, Romans International at £184,950 and Porsche Centre Swindon’s PistonHeads advert at £182,850. Swindon’s car is worth a call to ask which of its two prices stands.

02 · IN BRIEF

Ferrari Luce: still nothing to price.

Last week I promised you Ferrari’s first electric car for today. It shrank to a brief because there is still no market to read. The 2026 allocation, just under 500 cars, had sold out by July, the Financial Times reported, months before the first delivery. Reuters reported in May that Ferrari planned first deliveries to clients in October, and I have found no report of one yet. AutoScout24.de lists no Luce for sale as I write, on Friday. The only auction price on record is still the $40 million paid for Chassis 0 at RM Sotheby’s in Monterey in August, every dollar of it for charity.

Next Sunday: Geneva, 7 to 9 November. The lots that matter, their estimates, and what comparable pieces have actually sold for.
